The European Federation for Medicinal Chemistry (EFMC) is an independent association representing medicinal chemistry societies in Europe. Its objective is to advance the science of medicinal chemistry by promoting cooperation and networking, by providing training and mentoring, by rewarding scientific excellence, and by facilitating communication and influencing stakeholders.

Reality of Medicinal Chemistry?

Do you feel up to the challenge to show what Medicinal Chemistry means to you, and how it works in your everyday life!?

 

Submit the best picture of your everyday science, and win up to €200 in the EFMC’s “Reality of Medicinal Chemistry” photo competition!

Closing date June 20, 2018.

"Reality of Medicinal Chemistry" is a new competition launched by the EFMC that invites medicinal chemists and chemical biologists to submit a picture showing the reality of Medicinal Chemistry/Chemical Biology, why it is important and what it represent on your everyday life. We want scientists from any level (eg. students to expert professionals) and affiliation (eg. academia and industry), to take the best shot possible and enter the competition!

The winner will receive a prize of €200!

There will also be prizes of €100 for two runners-up.

In addition, the best pictures will appear in cover of several  issues of the EFMC Newsletter “MedChemWatch”, and will be showcased in the annual Yearbook.

Eligibility

  • EFMC affiliated societies members and non-members
  • Medicinal Chemists/Chemical Biologists from any level and affiliation

Judging criteria
The pictures will be judged by a two-round public voting. First online and afterwards during the “EFMC-ISMC 2018”, where best shots will be printed out and displayed at the conference for participants to vote live!
