EFMC GRANTS - APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN

EFMC funds grants for EFMC organised events with the aim of supporting the participation of young academic scientists.

Upon application, a limited number of full registration fees for EFMC-ISMC, EFMC-ASMC, ACSMEDI-EFMC Medicinal Chemistry Frontiers and up to 50% of the registration fee for the EFMC Short Courses or the EFMC Accredited School will be covered by EFMC. To apply for an EFMC grant, please fill in the application form before the deadline and upload your CV, publication list, abstract, motivation letter and support letter from the supervisor.

Grant applications for the following events are open:

•  14th EFMC Short Course on Medicinal Chemistry - Peptide Therapeutics: Inspiring Beacon of Hope for the Pharmaceutical Future

•  EFMC-IMSC 2018 - XXV EFMC International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS - EFMC 2018 AWARDS

To acknowledge outstanding achievements in the field of Medicinal Chemistry, EFMC confers three Awards on the occasion of the International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry. The 2018 Awards will be conferred on the occasion of the XXV EFMC "International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry" (EFMC-ISMC) to be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia on September 2-6, 2018.

To acknowledge outstanding achievements in the field of Medicinal Chemistry, EFMC confers three Awards on the occasion of the International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry. The 2018 Awards will be conferred on the occasion of the XXV EFMC "International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry" (EFMC-ISMC) to be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia on September 2-6, 2018.

The  awards consist of a diploma, € 7.500 and an invitation for a lecture by the Award recipient at the upcoming EFMC-ISMC International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry.

For the advancement of Medicinal Chemistry and the development of international organisational structures in Medicinal Chemistry. The award will be given for outstanding achievements in the field of Medicinal Chemistry.

To acknowledge and recognise outstanding research in the field of Medicinal Chemistry in its broadest sense by a young scientist. This Award has been established with the support of UCB Pharma.

To encourage innovation and investigation in technological development related to drug discovery, this Award established with the support of Prous Institute will be given for the discovery, evaluation or use of new technologies.

Nominations for these Awards consist of a nomination letter, a brief CV including a list of selected publications and two supporting letters. Self-nominations are also accepted. The nominations should be submitted to Dr Yves P. Auberson, President of the EFMC, via the following link:

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS - EFMC PRIZES 2018

To recognise the achievements of outstanding young medicinal chemists (≤ 12 years after PhD) working in European industry and in academia, EFMC has established the EFMC Prize for a Young Medicinal Chemist in Industry and the EFMC Prize for a Young Medicinal Chemist in Academia. The Prizes consist of a diploma, € 1.000 and an invitation for a short presentation at the XXV EFMC International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry (EFMC-ISMC’18), which will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia on September 2-6, 2018.

This event on kinases will encompass case studies of ongoing programmes as well as successful past programmes. A range of topics including CNS kinase inhibitors, allosteric inhibitors and non-oral delivery methods will be covered, along with views and perspectives on the future of kinase inhibitor research.

4th RSC/DMDG Symposium on New Perspectives in DMPK
21st to 22nd May 2018 at the Royal Society of Chemistry, Burlington House, London, UK

This meeting will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas between principal members of the DMPK research community. Keynote talks from industry leaders will provide global perspectives on how DMPK can bring value to the process on informing drug discovery. The emphasis will be on building dialogue between participants who will range from experienced project/laboratory leaders to early-career researchers.  There will be a balanced mix of oral and poster presentations, interactive Q&A sessions and networking opportunities throughout.
