How does it work:

  • Platform: The competition takes place entirely on LinkedIn. If you don’t have an account yet, we recommend setting one up in advance.
  • Registration: Sign up using the link below. The deadline is June 2, 2026.
  • Timing: The event kicks off on June 8 at 10:00 a.m. and runs until June 12 at 6:00 p.m. (CET).
  • Submission: On the first day, simply post your video on LinkedIn using the primary hashtag #MCBVideo26.
  • Categorization: To help the right audience find you, please include one of the following research-specific hashtags: #MCBVideo26_MedChem or #MCBVideo26_ChemBio or #MCBVideo26_CompChem. You may also add additional hashtags to increase the visibility of your video.
  • Engagement: Dive into the conversation! Use the comments to discuss your work, answer questions, and network with the committee and fellow participants.
  • Content: We value clarity, creativity, and effective communication over high-end editing. Focus on making your research accessible to a broad scientific audience.
  • Evaluation: Submissions will be reviewed by a committee composed of members from the SCI-DCF, HSMC, and EFMC-YSN.
  • Prizes: We will award 4 prizes of 100€ each, sponsored by the Hellenic Society of Medicinal Chemistry, the Italian Chemical Society - Division of Medicinal Chemistry and the EFMC Young Scientists Network. One prize is reserved specifically for the post with the highest community engagement (based on reactions and comments).

Video Guidelines

Participants are invited to prepare a short video presentation (maximum 3 minutes) highlighting the key aspects of their research for a broad scientific audience.

Presentations may include an overview of the research topic and objectives, a brief description of the methodologies used, and selected results or key insights (if available).

Participants are encouraged to choose the format that best showcases their work. Possible formats include face-to-camera recordings, slide-based presentations, screen recordings (e.g. computational workflows or simulations), whiteboard explanations, animations, or a combination of these approaches. Creativity and clarity in communication are highly encouraged.

Videos should be prepared in English, with clear audio and good visual quality. Participants may include subtitles if they believe this enhances the clarity or accessibility of their presentation.
