Therefore, EFMC decided to create a new network for young scientists:
the EFMC-Young Scientists Network

The aim of the EFMC-YSN is to inspire, connect and provide opportunities to medicinal chemists and chemical biologists in their Early Career

   

 

EFMC-YSN PhD Prize 2020 - Call for Nominations

Because recognising excellence and merits is important since the early stage, the EFMC and the Young Scientists Network are proud to announce the first edition of the "EFMC-YSN PhD Prize"

The Prize will constist of a diploma, a free registration and a 500€ travel grant to attend the XXVI EFMC International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry (EFMC-ISMC 2020) and EFMC Young Medicinal Chemist Symposium (EFMC-YMCS 2020) which will take place in Basel, Switzerland on September 6-10 & 10-11, 2020.

Who can apply? 

  • European PhD students (or up to one year after PhD) 

Review Criteria 

  • CV
  • Abstract of the poster to be presented at the EFMC-ISMC 2020 & EFMC-YMCS 2020
  • List of publications
  • Cover letter: « Why is my research worth the Prize »

How to apply?

Deadline for submission: January 31, 2020

The winner will be announced during the month of April.

EFMC-YMCS - A meeting for you!

The meeting will take place on September 10-11, 2020 in Basel Switzerland, so be sure to save the date! 

The Programme of the 7th EFMC Young Medicinal Chemist Symposium will include:

  • opening and closing lectures by inspiring leaders in the field
  • oral communications by invited prize winners from national young medicinal chemist meetings in Europe
  • flash poster presentations selected from submitted abstracts
  • a poster session open to any young researcher submitting an abstract
  • prizes

The event will also be the opportunity to develop your skills in attending free workshops given by the Young Scientists Network.

Discounted fees will be applicable for EFMC-YSN Members!
